Building Bifrost
Base construction: Keel and Ribs in Steel - Covered with foam and layered up with fibre.
First step was wirenetting on the frame and then stitching the foam plates on.
The foam plates were filled and sanded to make ready for fibreglass.
A bunch of friends turned up for the fibre job and she was done in 5 days
After 5 month of work she could roll out of the hall and then woodwork, electrics, rigging, painting...
Andy showed up from Canada and stayed helping for 4 month. Later sailed along for about 5 years.
Søren (red sweater) carved the dragons head and tail in Oak.
With Leo's paint job and Søren's carvings she was starting to look the part
Leo based the Ornaments on Viking and Celtic patterns
Finally she was ready to be launched and Leo named her "BIFROST" - "Rainbow bridge"
